I was born in 1974. In 1994 I became a family man. My wife and I have 4 children, all of whom educated at home. My eldest son, Georgi Porumbachanov, is no longer a homeschooler, as he is 24 and already an independent young man, who works, and is currently studying at university. Ever since the year 2000 I have been a pastor in a Reformed Presbyterian Church. To this day, I am preaching there every Sunday. All the families in our church educate their children at home. In 2004, the Bulgarian Home Education Association began its work in Bulgaria, and I have been its chairman since then. Every year we organize a national conference on home education, as well as annual seminars and individual meet-ups with homeschooling families. I also answer hundreds of letters from parents, who are looking for advice and guidance on how to start educating at home. Moreover, through the Bulgarian Homeschool Association we publish books in help of the home educating families here.
